La Scuola International School, an Italian Immersion, Reggio Emilia, International Baccalaureate Preschool-8th grade school in San Francisco seeks an organized, professional and energetic Admissions Associate. The Admissions Associate reports to and supports the work of the Director of Admissions. The position is full-time, with a start-date as soon as possible.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help create, organize, and prepare admission materials.
  • Send out invitations and information to prospective parents.
  • Organize and oversee Admission events, such as open houses, tours and interviews, and prepare all relevant materials beforehand.
  • Speak with interested parents and facilitate admission process by setting up the online tour scheduling system, booking tours, and making other appointments, as appropriate.
  • Schedule individual screens and group visits for preschool, kindergarten and other applicants.
  • Schedule assessments (as needed) and student visits for Grade 1 – 8 applicants.
  • Assist in managing the school database.
  • Maintain and ensure completion of all applicant files.
  • Prepare files for review by Admissions Committee.
  • Attend Marketing and Admissions Committee meetings (usually in the evenings).
  • Support the Director of Admissions and other administrators.
  • Represent the Admissions Office in accordance with the school’s mission.

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or two to three years of experience in marketing, admission and/or office management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with GoogleDocs and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Database skills essential (Filemaker skills a plus).
  • Skilled in social media, Facebook, Google Adwords and other platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator a plus.
  • Sound judgment relating to confidential projects, personnel, school, or student matters.
  • Multi-tasker with ability to handle multiple projects without missing deadlines; self-directed and enjoys taking initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A cooperative team approach with colleagues and a willingness to take on responsibilities beyond those explicitly defined.
  • Coverage will be required sometime between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM. The exact schedule is to be agreed with the Director of Admissions. Plus, a willingness to work beyond traditional office hours, including early mornings (7:30 am), some evenings (until 9 PM) and Saturdays during the academic year.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Final candidate will need to pass Criminal Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance, Physical Exam and TB Test.
